Kindergarten students enjoy an activity-oriented learning environment with an emphasis on reading (phonetic approach), writing, and numbers. Students will learn to read before they graduate from kindergarten. The ABeka program is the academic curriculum used.
Instruction for K-4 and K-5 students begins at 8:00 a.m and concludes at 12:00 pm. All programs follow the Academy calendar for holidays and breaks. Before-school care, beginning at 7:00 a.m., is available at no cost to you, and after-school care until 6:00 p.m. is available at an additional charge.
As part of the daily curriculum, students receive instruction in Bible. Learning about God and studying His Word is part of the integral nature of instruction at GLBA.
Weekly chapel times provide the students with a large group of corporate worship where they interact with songs, stories, and other fun ways to bring the Bible to life.
Enrollment for kindergarten is limited, and will reach capacity quickly. Placement is based on the child’s age as of September 1 of the enrollment year. Please call 205.685.8450 for further information or to schedule an interview.
