In the event of inclement weather, delays or closings will be posted on the school’s facebook page and an email will be sent to each family. Delays or closings will also be announced by 6:00 a.m. on FOX 6, NBC 13, ABC 33/40, and CBS 42. The announcement will be made on their TV stations, websites, and also on some of their radio affiliates. The number of hours delayed will affect both our regular open time of 7:00 a.m. and our class start time of 8:00 a.m. Our main concern in inclement weather is the safety of your family and our staff. Our secondary concern is accommodating our parents who are trying to get to work. Because of that, we may possibly open earlier than Shelby County does. If inclement weather develops during the school day, we will notify parents by phone if we close early. In the event of early, weather-related closings, arrangements should be made to pick up students as quickly as possible.
