Steve Kilpatrick and his wife Debbie were married in 1976 and have been serving the Lord faithfully in many areas of the ministry since then. They both graduated from Baptist Bible College. Bro. Kilpatrick received a Master of Missions degree from Bethel Baptist College, and was later honored with a Doctor of Humanity from Bethel Baptist College and a Doctor of Divinity degree from The Crown College of the Bible. He has worked in youth ministry, youth music, and been involved in Christian education. Steve and Debbie went to the Philippines as missionaries from 1981-1990. They were greatly used of the Lord there and developed a great burden for worldwide missions. When they returned from the mission field, Steve served as associate pastor and president of Bethel Baptist College. In 2002, God led him to start Gospel Light Baptist Church where he served the Lord as Pastor of Gospel Light Baptist Church for 13 years. In 2015, the Lord moved in Steve’s heart to enter into full time Church Planting in the state of Alabama, Steve surrendered to the Lord’s leading and in January of 2016, Steve and Debbie Kilpatrick entered the work of full time church planting in the state of Alabama. Steve leads the IBFA, (Independent Baptist Friends of Alabama), which is a ministry of the Gospel Light Baptist Church dedicated to seeing Bible believing churches planted in the state of Alabama.
